Below is the required coursework for BACS students and is typical of what most four-year colleges require for admission. The coursework is also in compliance with Rhode Island State Standards and Grade Span Expectations. In addition to demonstrating mastery in the coursework below, students must also successfully complete three portfolios and a senior project in order to graduate. Unique to BACS are Community Improvement Projects (CIP). These interdisciplinary classes emphasize the mastery of Applied Learning Standards and help to prepare students to successfully complete independent internships, service-learning projects, and senior projects. Skills obtained through CIP completion may include strategic planning skills, telephone communication, interviewing, proposal writing and problem solving.
