Help student find a school that fits them.

Start Visiting Colleges with your parents! (Spirit)
|
Take son/daughter on College Visits! Ask questions about their visits.
|
All year, summer.
|
|
Talk to your advisor and choose challenging classes to get you ready for college.
|
Remind son/daughter that colleges look at the difficulty of courses as a part of the admissions decision process.

Fall, Spring
|

Get good grades!

Grades are also important.

A resume includes: jobs, volunteering, sports, awards, service projects.

Get involved with extracurricular activities: volunteering, internships, sports, student clubs…

Encourage your son/ daughter to get involved with these activities since colleges will want to see this.

Finish your level 1 portfolio.
